After his grave being unmarked for more than 90 years, Ralph Honaker placed a tombstone on the grave of great-great-grandfather, Rev. Samuel Sams Honaker in 1988.


Rev. Samuel Sams Honaker was born 10 Mar 1819 in Monroe County, [W]Virginia. He died 09 Feb 1895 in Kansas City, Wyandotte, Kansas. He is buried at Maple Hill Cemetery, Argentine Potters Field, Junction, Kansas. Rev. Honaker was married to Lucinda Bean [1817-1869], of Monroe County. She was the daughter of William Bean and Rachel Wiseman.

Ralph is the founder of the National Association of Hans Jacob Honaker Families, which was formed in 1989.

Oh how wonderful! Everyone deserves to be remembered.
My hope is to one day place a tombstone on my great grandmother's gravesite in Greenlawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
