Wow, we just found a cellar hole like this in our woods here in New Hampshire. I guess they exist all across the United States, as people abandoned the hard to work farms in the mountains and moved out west. Thank you for sharing your photos.

These always make me sad. I know a dream came to an end and hope that a new one replaced it.
