This was brought back to me from the orient. I believe when the "ex" was stationed in Korea and he went on R&R in Japan.
It is red and black laquerware with mother of pearl ornamentation, and gold leaf. It was old when it was purchased more than 20 years ago. Some day, it will be given to one of my children.
