Irene Caroline Banet Dreher (1906-1989)
Taken in 1969, Corydon, Indiana
Following up with my Treasure Chest Thursday post from
this week, I thought I’d share another photo of my Granny Dreher taken in 1969
[same day as the last one] in front of one of her flower beds.
Granny had the knack to make any little piece of barren lawn
into a lovely garden. She even took a spot that wouldn’t grow flowers, once,
and built a rock garden! [I wish I could say I inherited her green thumb and
artistic ability to garden, unfortunately I didn’t!]
I love this picture of Granny. These were the years that I
recall the most when I stop to think about her.
She was a wonderful Grandmother. And a good friend.
