Surname Saturday...Burdette

Today I'd like to go off-track a bit, and introduce you to a very short line that I have.

This branch of our family is really of no blood relation to me. But rather belongs to some of my much loved cousins.

You see, my Grandpa Bean was married twice before he married my own Grandmother. [Affectionately called "Aunt Mary" by her step-children and step-grandchildren, I have just about shared every line of her family with you thusfar as known.] So, today I would like to share with you my Grandpa Bean's second wife's history, of which we know very little so far. It is a line I have not as yet explored, and which is on my "to-do" list!

Cynthia Ann BEANE was born in New Albany, Floyd Co., IN. She was the daughter of 2. Walter Maxwell BEANE and 3. Lois Velleda DREHER. She married Johnnie Lee HENRY in Covington, Alleghany Co., VA, son of Joseph Wright HENRY and Betty Louise Rotge. He was born in San Antonio, Bexar Co, TX.

GENERATION 2

Walter Maxwell BEANE was born on 31 Aug 1937 in Waiteville, Monroe County, WV. He was the

son of 4. John Monroe BEAN and 5. Mary Elizabeth FAUDREE. He married Lois Velleda DREHER

on 12 Dec 1958 in Presidio of San Francisco, San Francisco, CA.

Lois Velleda DREHER was born 02 Aug 1938 in Georgetown, FLoyd Co., IN. She was the daughter

of 6. Henry Condar DREHER Jr. and 7. Irene Caroline BANET.


GENERATION 3

John Monroe BEAN was born on 15 Dec 1866 in Cincinatti, Ohio. He died on 10 Apr 1954 in

Waiteville, Monroe Co., WV. He was the son of 8. William McHarvey BEAN and 9. Margaret Smith

PERKINS. He married Blanche Uremia CROSIER on 26 Jun 1895 in Monroe County, West Virginia.

Ada BURDETTE was born 15 Dec 1883 in Greenbrier  County, West Virginia. She died 15 Aug 1929

in Ronceverte, Greenbrier, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Hugh H. BURDETTE and Annie S. LEVEL.

GENERATION 4

HUGH H. BURDETTE was born 29 Aug 1860 in Greenbrier County, WV. He died 10 Nov 1944 in Second Creek, Monroe, WV. He was the son of J.H. BURDETTE and NANCY DOLAN. He married ANNIE S. LEVEL in 1881.

ANNIE S. LEVEL was born 08 Jan 1866 in WV. She died 04 Jun 1935 in WV. She was the daughter of William Francis LEVEL and Sarah Ruth GIBSON.

GENERATION 5

J. H. BURDETTE was born in Greenbrier County, WV about 1838-1840. He married Nancy DOLAN.
