Tombtone Tuesday- William Thomas Eakin


WILLIAM T. EAKIN
1850  -  1934

William Thomas Eakin was the second of four children born to Alexander Eakin[1817-1880] and his wife, Margaret Jane Bean [b. 1825].

Born November 1851 [although his stone says 1850, Craig County birth records indicate he was born in 1851] on John's Creek.
He married Nancy "Nannie" Susan Caldwell [1849-1942] on 22 Dec 1870 in Craig County. The couple went on to have eleven known children:

Akie Kelley C. Eakin [1876-1894]
Emma Highlela Clementine Eakin [1878-1966]
Walter Howard Eakin [1880-1960]

James Charlton Eakin [1889-1901]
Mary Effie Elizabeth Eakin [1891-1965]
Annie Sue Eakin [1893-1969]

William Thomas Eakin was a farmer his entire life.
He died 18 April 1934 at Buchanan, Botetourt County, Virginia.
He is buried at...

...Fairview Cemetery, Buchanan, Botetourt, Virginia.
