Amaneunsis Monday - Jacob E. Wickline's First Marriage

When great-grandmother, Eliza Carnifix Faudree was but three years of age, her father died in the Civil War. [George Carnefix - b.1831, d. 1864]. Her mother, Mary Susan Daugherty Carnefix
married a few years later to Jacob Elijah Wickline. Seldom have I seen mention of Jacob's first wife, however. Her name was Maria PILES [1820-1871].

Here is the entry found typed in the Monroe County Marriage Indexes:

The marriage is listed under section (2) 1842-1843, line 2.

2. Jacob Wickline to Maria Piles
Married; Apr. 20, 1842, Bond # 4204

They had at least 4 children, and were married 29 years before Maria's death.
