Surname Saturday - DuBois

This is a surname that is quite new to me. Until recently, I knew the first name of my great-great-grandmother [from the Eve family], but that was it. I did not know her maiden name. Nor the sad story that accompanied her history. [Anna/Annette DuBois was only 30 years old when she died, shortly after giving birth to her 7^th child. A short time after her death, that child died as well. Her husband, left with a houseful of young children turned to his sister-in-law, Annette’s sister, Adeline, for assistance. The pair soon married, and they went on to have 9 children together. ]

    This family surname is “DuBois”, and it came from France to the United States in 1832.

was the daughter of 30. Joseph EVE and 31. Annette DuBois.
