Grandma's Sausage Gravy
First off.... don't even attempt this without a heavy, cast iron skillet! It simply can't be done! Well, at least not as tastily!
Ingedients:
1-pound country sausage
2-tablespoons all-purpose flour
2-cups whole milk
In a medium [#10] cast iron skillet, crumble and brown 1-pound sausage until no longer pink, over medium-low heat.
Drain off liquid [grease] leaving about 2-tablespoons in skillet.
Add 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, and stirring constantly, brown the flour [making a thick rue].
Slowly add milk, stirring constantly. Continue stirring over medium-low heat until gravy becomes thickened to consistency you like.
Pour gravy over hot biscuits!
Yum, yum!
