Lenora M. HYRE was born in Jackson County, West Virginia to Jacob Beath HYRE and his wife, Arilla D. CASTO.

Lenora married John William BEAN in 1869 in Fisher's Ridge, Jackson County, West Virginia. The couple went on to have seven children: Luther, Charles Edgar, Amos Ward, Minnie, Minnia, Fred, and Frank.

Lenora died in Tupelo, Oklahoma.

She is buried at Byrd's Prairie Cemetery, Tupelo, Oklahoma.
