First Photo Ever Taken of Abraham Lincoln
The following comes from Footnote:
This month we celebrate President Abraham Lincoln's 200th birthday. You may already know that Lincoln was born in a log cabin in Hardin County, Kentucky, on February 12, 1809. However, you may not have known that he was the first president born outside the original thirteen colonies. He was also the tallest president and the only president to be issued a patent; he invented a levy device that lifted boats over shoals in the Mississippi River.
