William F. Benzel was born on 30 September 1870 to John and Wilhelmina [Lambrecht] Benzel in Indiana. He was the youngest of 8 children.

William married Helen [Unknown] sometime prior to 1910. The couple had 2 known children:

Betty [b. 1916]

William died on 12 Dec. 1959. He and Helen are buried at Green Hill Cemetery

Bedford, Lawrence, Indiana.
